Recent updates (Oct 20, 2025)

Updated skills section to include: Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Node.js, MongoDB, MySQL, Bootstrap, PHP, and Git.
Added a new project: Mood Analyzer (Sentiment Analysis) with project modal and links to code/demo.
Cleaned up the projects list and simplified project metadata (projects/projects.json).
Created SVG icons for missing skills inside assets/images/skills/ (for example: js.svg, mongodb.svg, bootstrap.svg, php.svg, git.svg).
Minor HTML/CSS/JS tweaks and accessibility improvements.

Run locally

Make sure you have Python 3 installed.
From the project root run (PowerShell):

cd path\to\Portfolio-Website-main
python -m http.server 8000

Open your browser at http://localhost:8000/.

Deploy (GitHub Pages)

Push the repository to GitHub (this project uses https://github.com/shashankav01/Portfolio-Website).
Go to the repository Settings → GitHub Pages, set the source to the master branch.
The site will be available at https://shashankav01.github.io/Portfolio-Website/ after a few minutes.
